Two adventurers, James Castrission and Justin Jones, completed the first-ever kayak crossing of the Tasman Sea, spanning 60 days, 20 hours, and 50 minutes. They departed from Forster, Australia on November 13, 2007, and arrived at Ngamotu Beach in New Plymouth, New Zealand on January 13, 2008, in their custom-designed double kayak, Lot 41.
