The Ceddo, a group of outsiders, seize Princess Dior Yacine, the daughter of King Demba War, in a bold act of defiance against his decree to convert to Islam.
In the midst of cultural turmoil, the Ceddo people fight to maintain their African traditions against the encroachment of Islam, Christianity, and the slave trade. As King Demba War allies with the Muslims, the Ceddo retaliate by kidnapping his daughter, Princess Dior Yacine, to protest the forced conversion to Islam.
